Challenge

Dreams for Schools was struggling to differentiate between other STEM education program logos. Their primary educational program, AppJam+, didn’t relate visually to the Dreams for Schools logo, but was a more recognized program.

Our goal was to develop:

  • A flexible visual identity with a visual system in place for program growth and expansion

  • A logo redesign that visual associated with the AppJam+ program logo

    • AppJam+ currently stands alone as its own program

  • A brand that represented youth education and technology, through design and messaging

Solution

Programming language works much like the language we write. Instead of capitalization and periods to mark the beginning and end, programming uses “<>” and “</>.”

Dreams for Schools is about beginnings. It’s the beginnings of new passions, curiosities, and a renewed interest for learning. We wanted to reflect these through the logo redesign, unlimited possibility.

Logo Design

Logo Design

Dreams for Schools offered core programs to their three key audiences:

  • AppJam+ : An after-school program designed to teach programming technology and engineering principles to middle school students.

  • Summercamps: A short-term session designed to educate parents in STEM education

  • Professional Development : A program for educators interested in bringing and teaching AppJam+ at their schools

We created a systemic approach to sub-branding the programs, with room for additional program development with the same visual identity treatment.

Once the visual design was in place, we worked closely with the development team to create a new landing page and marketing collateral with focused messaging and a clear call-to-action.
