A little more about me

What was your first job?

In 2011, I started working as a set designer for a community college theatre. I was taking classes on every aspect of theatrical design, from costume history and lighting techniques, to prop construction and scenic painting.

I ended up taking a graphic design class to learn how to better design stage props. The rest is history.

Favorite snack while working?

Anything covered in chocolate. Pretzels, nuts, raisins, fruit - I don’t discriminate.

What are you reading right now?

Alchemy: The Dark Art and Curious Science of Creating Magic in Brands, Business, and Life by Rory Sutherland

Do you have any hobbies?

Honestly, I just read a lot. Mostly about business, design, and strategy, but I’m trying to catch up on some of the classics. I also love to cook (mostly Cuban food. Thanks, mom.)

What’s your favorite time of day?

6:15PM. There’s a very particular way the sunshine beams into our living room (where our cat will typically nap) and it just reminds me to take a deep breath and a long break.

Always open to new opportunities.
